Here at Mott MacDonald, we put improvement at the front and centre of what we do. When it comes to the environment, that means creating positive outcomes for the natural environments on projects and ensuring resilience in the structures we create. We pride ourselves on being a world-leading environmental consultancy that combines in-depth local knowledge with a broad network of global expertise to provide results that are both environmentally sensitive and socially inclusive.
As part of this commitment to sustainability, we’re proud to be the first consultancy of our scale to be independently certified as carbon neutral at a global level. It’s an important milestone on our journey towards becoming net-zero for both carbon emissions and greenhouse gasses.
In our project portfolio, our environmental staff supported planning and design for major projects such as Crossrail and the A3 Hindhead Tunnel in the UK, the Ngong Ping 360 cable car project in Hong Kong, and a regional power transmission line in Mozambique. We’ve provided extensive consultancy for the Environment Agency when assessing and defending against river and coastal flooding, and our work with local communities such as consultation and resettlement planning for two geothermal power projects in Indonesia was publicly recognised by the World Bank as exemplars of best practice.
This unrivalled experience of managing environmental factors means that our multidisciplinary project teams are in high demand for establishing policy, strategy and environmental management plans, advising on environmental risks and liabilities as part of due diligence and providing consultancy to local, national and international organisations.
