On June 27, five graduates of Brookline High School took part in a panel to discuss their experiences with The Calculus Project, an initiative of our Cambridge Education division that was launched by Dr. Adrian Mims.
The five students belong to the first cohort in the program, and have now graduated, or are soon to graduate, from colleges where they studied STEM fields. The event was covered by Wicked Local Brookline.
According to Obi Obiora, "The community aspect of the cohort was the most important element of the program. There was so much support from peers in the program, and the TCP teachers who had your back unequivocally, and wouldn't let you fail."
Alisha Andrew said, "The Project taught us how to stay strong when we wanted to give up."
The Calculus Project is now an independent not-for-profit organization directed by Dr. Adrian Mims. To learn more, please visit the website.
