Mott MacDonald earns fifth consecutive RoSPA health and safety award
Mott MacDonald has been awarded a prestigious Gold Medal by British safety charity the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) to recognise the consultancy’s fifth consecutive Gold Award. Mott MacDonald received the medal at the 2013 Occupational Health and Safety Awards, which took place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel at the National Exhibition Centre.

Mott MacDonald is providing technical advice for Tarfaya wind project
Construction has started on a 300MW wind farm in Morocco which will be one of the largest in Africa. Mott MacDonald is providing technical advice to lenders during construction and operational phases. During the development phase of the project, the consultancy provided contract, technical, environmental and social due diligence services. The project developer is a consortium of Nareva Holding and GDF SUEZ.

Mott MacDonald appointed to three Environment Agency frameworks
Mott MacDonald has been appointed to three of the four new Water and Environment Management (WEM) frameworks by the Environment Agency in England and Wales. Over the next 10 years, the Environment Agency is investing more than £2.5 billion to reduce the risk from river and coastal flooding and to secure social and environmental improvements.

Mott MacDonald to advise on regional infrastructure to boost African economies
A consortium led by Mott MacDonald has been appointed as technical advisor to the Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) by the African Development Bank (ADB), to support African stakeholders as they identify, assess and prioritise regional infrastructure projects on the continent. Mott MacDonald is working with fellow consultant Sofreco on the IPPF, part of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).

Mott MacDonald providing design for two railway station upgrades, UK
Mott MacDonald is providing design services to BAM Nuttall for the upgrade of railway stations at Bingley in West Yorkshire and MetroCentre in Tyne and Wear. The improvements are part of Network Rail’s Access for All (AfA) programme, which is improving access at key stations nationwide by installing lifts and ramps.

Mott MacDonald Grontmij JV to design A63 Castle Street improvement scheme in Hull, UK
The Mott MacDonald Grontmij Joint Venture (MMG JV) has been appointed by the Highways Agency to develop proposals for the £160M upgrade of the A63 Castle Street in Hull. The scheme is intended to reduce journey times to the Port of Hull, ease congestion and improve safety on the city centre section of the A63.
