Mott MacDonald has appointed Emma Corcoran as technical director – advisory in Queensland, Australia. She will work closely with both new and existing clients in strategy development, investment selection, business cases and due diligence.
Emma is a chartered accountant with 21 years’ experience in providing corporate finance, commercial advisory and transaction services to both Australian and international clients. She joins Mott MacDonald from WSP, where she was general manager of their Australian infrastructure advisory business and responsible for the provision of business and commercial advisory services.
Commenting on her appointment, Emma said: “I am very happy to be part of a team which is committed to working with clients in realising their project and development visions. I’m looking forward to offering an additional dimension to the solid stable of talent that Mott MacDonald already has.”
John Mortimer, Mott MacDonald’s general manager for Australia, added: “In Australia, the funding of infrastructure has long been and will continue to be a challenge. Authorities are increasingly seeking the private sector to become more involved in the development of infrastructure plans. We see this as an opportunity to work closely with our clients to help shape their strategies and consider the funding question early in the process. Emma’s background, experience and client-centric approach, together with our global capabilities, will be a powerful offering to determine the solutions and deliver successful, meaningful outcomes for our clients.”
Emma has completed six ironman triathlons and recently served on the board of Triathlon Queensland, enabling her to combine her professional expertise with her passion for the sport.
