For many years Mott MacDonald has worked for consortia and design-and-build contractors on privately financed projects around the world.

We provide a wide range of multi-disciplinary engineering and construction consultancy services, including civil and structural design, building services engineering, geotechnical support, transportation and traffic planning, power and communication engineering, waste management, cost consultancy and contract advice. In addition we offer a vast portfolio of specialist skills as diverse as smoke and evacuation studies, virtual reality modelling and materials durability analysis.

We support consortia throughout the project, beginning right at the start with advice on planning approval issues. Our in-house experts then undertake environmental impact and other specialist assessments, run through whole life costing options, provide hard and soft maintenance advice, undertake environmental modelling of infrastructure and carry out risk and design management.

Because we’ve also worked extensively for governments, lenders and developers within private finance and public private partnership mechanisms, we’re ideally equipped to provide specialist advice to consortia and contractors on handling the technical issues that arise from project finance processes, including project managing bids on their behalf.
