Mott MacDonald ranks 11th place in Sunday Times Top 20 Best Big Companies

Mott MacDonald has been placed 11th in the Sunday Times Top 20 Big Companies category of the 2007 Best Companies to Work For in the UK Survey. The company was compared with other major organisations with over 5,000 employees across all market sectors - public, financial, travel, retail and manufacturing - as well as its peers in professional services.

The process, managed by independent researchers Best Companies, involved employees being asked for their views on working at Mott MacDonald. In addition, the company’s employment policies, procedures and critical performance statistics were evaluated to rate the company in terms of performance, opportunities and work-life balance.

Mott MacDonald is an employee-owned, management, engineering and development consultancy delivering solutions that touch many areas of everyday life. It has offices in key locations both in the UK and around the globe. With plans for continued growth and an excellent programme of staff training, Mott MacDonald offers a wide range of exciting and interesting career opportunities to talented applicants across its core operations in building and infrastructure, health, education, transport, energy, communications, water and environment.

Peter Wickens, Mott MacDonald’s board director responsible for human resource strategy said, “We are delighted at this result, it’s important to us that our employees enjoy their experience at Mott MacDonald. We’re committed to being a good corporate citizen and we hope that our success in The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For Survey will further encourage talented people across the world to consider us as their employer of choice.”

The Awards were announced at a gala celebration held at Battersea Park Events Arena, London on 1 March 2007.

This is the seventh year that UK workplaces have been researched to produce a guidance to prospective employees on which companies are best to work for in terms of a stimulating and rewarding environment.
