Measuring over 44,000m2, the building is set on 3,1309ha of previously derelict land and can accommodate 1300 employees. It incorporates an advanced building management system and one of the largest photovoltaic installations on a single office building – a testament to its sustainability commitment. The building systems and fabric provide its occupants with a healthy and efficient environment, and its training venues, conference centre and catering facilities can support international events for the promotion of sustainability and green buildings to the private and public sectors.
Construction was completed in June 2014 and undertaken through a public private partnership between the DEA and the Imvelo Concession Company.
