Why did you choose to join Mott MacDonald?
Because I was aware of a strong presence in the West Midlands, and I already knew a number of members of the team and had been collaborating on bids before joining.
What is the best thing about your job/role?
Variety. I have just moved jobs to become the development manager for the group’s urbanisation initiative which is an opportunity to support colleagues across the world. I also lead some projects with a research focus and I am the sustainability champion for transportation.
How would you describe the culture of Mott MacDonald?
There is a strong emphasis on people and developing a sustainable business for the future.
What has been your most memorable project?
My most memorable project involved, amongst other things, implementing a fleet of clean vehicles in Florence. Nothing compares to walking to work through Florence.
What is the best thing about living in country you live?
Believe it or not I like the temperate climate in the UK.
Where is your favourite place on earth?
Increasingly it’s the Shropshire Hills with good walking and beer, and no need to fly anywhere.
