the organisation is constantly changing and evolving making it an interesting place to be.

Why did you decide to join?

Coming from a very small company I wanted to work for a large organisation that recruited a high volume of people – I wanted the challenge to be able to work within a large recruitment function.

What is the best thing about your role?

The best thing about my role is that no two days are the same. The business changes and we have to adapt to make our function successful, this makes the job exciting with no time to get bored!

What is one thing you’ve found out about from working here that you think everyone should know?

It’s a great place to work and many colleagues I work with have worked for the company for an incredible amount of time. I think this shows people are happy and content in the working environment. Although many people have worked here for a long time, the organisation is constantly changing and evolving making it an interesting place to be.

How has your career developed?

I joined Mott MacDonald just over 10 years ago as the senior early careers advisor, I was promoted to the early careers manager after working for two years and have been in this role ever since. The number of graduates we recruit is rising so the job is only getting bigger!

What is the best thing about the country you live in?

I love that we can get anywhere in the world and international travel is so accessible – only two or three hours away from Europe for that quick break away!

If you were stranded on a desert island, what are the five things that you would want to have with you?

I would have to have my iPad (I would stupidly assume there was wifi) as well as my pillow, my watch (I hate not knowing the time), my white cat (if you're allowed a pet!) and lastly a bin bag full of crisps!

Do you have any advice for students or graduates applying?

Do your research and choose a small number of companies to apply to. This way you can really put all your efforts into each application rather than bulk applying and not having enough time and energy to dedicate to your application. You can tailor your application to show you have a real interest in working for us.
