Why did you decide to join Mott MacDonald?
I decided to join the team because I was keen to work with a world-class consultancy leading both in Europe and internationally. Mott MacDonald is well respected and well recognised by clients, contractors and competitors alike. Our professional excellence and business values, along with the talents attracted by our firm facilitate strong professional development and growth. The business has a proven track record of growth and success; as a result the team is always encouraged to develop and grow in tandem. Those were key drivers for me to join and continue to work at Mott MacDonald.
What is the best thing about your role?
At present I lead multidisciplinary design teams responsible for design development for major infrastructure projects in the transportation sector from concept to delivery. Examples of exciting projects I was involved in are High Speed Rail 2 (HS2 Phase 1) where I managed the multidisciplinary tender design team working with our design and build contractor on multi-billion pound pursuit, Doha Metro where I lead civil teams working on Msheireb Major and the Gold Line stations, and Heathrow Airport where I worked on T2 Concourse B and later lead the substructure design at T2 Phase 2 conceptual stage. In addition to working in such a multidisciplinary, creative and collaborative environment, my role involves business development activities leading bid teams aiming to win further exciting roles on major upcoming transport schemes. I also enjoy the versatile and dynamic nature of projects I am involved in as well as dealing with and resolving various challenges I meet while undertaking my role.
