Why did you decide to join Mott MacDonald?
The company was highly recommended by a friend who notified me when a suitable role came up. She was so relaxed and happy in her role, and I wanted the same thing for myself.
What is the best thing about your role?
Making graduate job offers! Sometimes this is their very first job and it is a really exciting moment for them.
How would you describe the culture of Mott MacDonald?
I would describe it as inclusive, open and focused on achieving a healthy work life balance.
What have you found out about Mott MacDonald since you joined?
That for a huge global company, it feels like a family, that really cares about you and your wellbeing.
What makes Mott MacDonald stand out from other companies?
For me, Mott MacDonald stands out because it is focused on its people, and everyone you speak to is proud to work here. I think that’s really apparent when we take the graduates to the university careers fairs and you hear them speak to the students about what they do, and what projects they are working on. Their enthusiasm really rubs off on the students, and me.
What is your favourite pastime?
Outside of work I really enjoy cooking healthy meals for my family and posting them all over Instagram!
Where is your favourite place?
My favourite place in the world is the Magic Kingdom at Disneyworld in Florida. It’s a place where you can really believe in magic, and I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of going there!
What inspires you at work?
The people I speak to on a daily basis. I love finding out about what my hiring teams do, the projects they are working on their career path, the graduates who are already in the business and seeing how they thrive in the work place. I also enjoy speaking to the candidates who are trying to secure a job or placement. Plus my team is pretty awesome too, it helps to be surrounded by lovely people all day!
