The CHUM Hospital achieved Phase I Substantial Completion on March 31. Mott MacDonald is undertaking the role of Independent Certifier on this 772-bed, $1.9 billion (CDN $2.5 billion) "super hospital" in Montréal. This milestone will enable the CHUM to commence activation activities ahead of the first patient move-in date of September 2017, when three aging hospitals will be relocated to the new facility.
This has truly been a team effort, managed by Julien Roufast (Lead Independent Certifier) with involvement from our multidisciplinary technical specialists in the Montréal, Toronto, Vancouver, and London offices.
This mandate follows on from our other current advisory roles on the CHUM Research Centre, McGill University Health, and Saint Justine Hospital projects in the city. Mott MacDonald has been working on the project since June 2011, and will continue its role until the end of Phase 2 of the project in 2021.
