How would you describe your role and responsibilities to friends or family?
I work as a senior civil engineering technician leading a team of civil 3D modelers within the Water division of Mott MacDonald in Cambridge to provide infrastructure design and CAD/BIM support for all our technical projects. My responsibilities include:
Managing civil 3D resources, mentoring, training and CAD/BIM support for technical projects within the division.
Preparing outline and detailed designs for water and wastewater projects with a strong technical focus and proactive approach to CAD/BIM development within our water and environmental divisions.
As a key civil 3D BIM practitioner, I am also responsible for BIM coordination and development throughout the water and environment divisions extending across the Group.
I also run a civil 3D user group within our water and environment business.
What do you enjoy doing while away from the office?
Spending time with my two lovely daughters, Chanelle and Kelly.
Have you been involved in any charities or done any volunteer work, please explain your involvement?
I'm involved in volunteer work as part of the Connect Team at Cambridge Community Church. The aim of the Connect Team is to make people feel welcome at every service and help people to engage socially with others they might not have met before.
