Mott MacDonald Ireland is a well respected company in the field of water services with a track record extending back to 1954. Our Irish team is located between our Cork and Dublin offices. Our portfolio of projects includes project such as Cork Main Drainage, Kilkenny Main Drainage, Ennis Water Supply, and Clonmel Flood Relief Scheme.
We are working on a wide range of exciting projects across Ireland in the water utility, flood relief and infrastructure drainage sectors. We are on the framework for the provision of consultancy services to Irish Water.
Due to our continued successful growth we are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Dublin based team.
The successful candidate will take up a key position in our water services business and be involved in the development and implementation of our business strategy, undertake the role of project manager on key projects and providing technical mentoring for existing staff members.
The preferred candidate will ideally be at a Senior Engineer level with 5 to 10 years relevant experience and;
Hold a level 8 qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Be a Chartered Engineer and Member of Engineers Ireland
Have experience in the delivery of water services projects from preliminary design and planning, procurement and contract administration.
Have experience in a design role with specific design experience in some/all of the following:
-Storm and foul gravity collection networks.
-Storm and foul rising pumping stations and rising mains.
-Water main distribution pipelines.
-Attenuation and flow control elements.
Have strong analytical skills and background knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology, water/wastewater treatment and flood risk engineering;
Have excellent and written communication skills, with the ability to integrate into the existing engineering team, and work alongside colleagues of other disciplines;
Familiarity with and adherence to Engineers Ireland’s Code of Ethics
Knowledge of some of following software packages would be beneficial:
-Drainage design software such as WinDes (Microdrainage), InfoWorks or StormCAD/SewerGEMS.
-Channel and flood flow analysis software such as ISIS, Tuflow or Hec-Ras.
-Watermains analysis software such as Epanet 2 or WaterGEMS.
-AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit or similar drafting and BIM packages.
Procurement and contract administration
Have excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills with a strong ‘can do’ attitude.
