Job Description

You will provide technical and team leadership across a diverse range of projects from conceptualisation, through feasibility and design to construction implementation.


Your Next Challenge
  • As a structural engineer engaged in the planning, design and construction supervision stages of building and infrastructure works you will develop and implement best practice in structural engineering
  • You will assist formulate innovative and cost effective solutions to meet client's needs, whilst maintaining sound financial control
  • As project manager, ensuring projects meet the client's objectives, and are delivered on programme and to budget; you will manage staff resources and will be looking to take on a project director role
  • Providing technical leadership; you will foster development of expertise among our staff, including coaching technical staff to undertake design works using suites of appropriate software, including numerical analysis
  • Providing effective line management
  • Attend design meetings, site meetings and all other project related meetings
  • Be responsible for project budgeting, project finance management and project performance
  • Develop client relationship and attend business related functions; actively participate in acquiring new work, as both participant and bid leader

Candidate Specification

What You'll Need
  • Enthusiasm to work on challenging projects with the capacity to work successfully under minimal supervision; you will have a willingness to innovate
  • Your outlook will be client-centric and collaborative; technical excellence will be important to you
  • Degree holder in Structural or Civil Engineering; a Master's degree may be an advantage
  • Corporate membership of HKIE or equivalent, in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the Structural discipline registered under the Engineers Registration Ordinance is preferred
  • Qualified as Building Authority Registered Structural Engineer (RSE)
  • Strong post chartered experience in structural works design
  • Experience in successfully engaging with the Buildings Department
  • Experience across a wide range of structure types as typically found in Hong Kong and neighbouring regions would be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills and presentation skills, with a capacity to motivate others to achieve project goals
  • Good command of spoken and written English and, ideally, Cantonese
