  • Supervising junior team members in undertaking design and report writing tasks
  • Liaison with key clients and responsibility for developing effective relationships with internal and external organisations
  • Involvement in the tendering process for new work and identification of market opportunities

Candidate Specification

You must have a degree or equivalent in a relevant transportation, town planning, civil engineering or design based subject.
You should preferably be actively working towards chartership, which we will support you to do.

You must also be able to demonstrate:
  • Relevant experience in the design of transport schemes and studies
  • Extensive knowledge and application of relevant design standards
  • Ability to use relevant software, such as AutoCAD and all programmes in the MS Office suite.
Knowledge of other software such as GIS, junction modelling and graphics software would be an advantage but is not essential
  • An ability to apply sound analytical and numeric skills to project work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to maintain good client relationships
  • Experience in contributing to proposals and winning new work
  • An ability to solve complex problems and identify new innovative solutions
  • Dedication to the delivery of projects and the development of the business as a whole
