Hydraulic Modelling

Mott MacDonald are leaders in the development of water related computer modelling and using this data to add value to our customers’ business. We have developed a state-of-the-art web based data management platform known as H2KnOw-how which is used by many water utilities across New Zealand and Australia. Our modelling and data management team are passionate about the ongoing development and improvement of these innovative services.

We have an exciting opportunity opening in our Auckland office for a wastewater, storm water or clean waster hydraulic modeller. Qualified candidates should be versed in hydraulic first principles and familiar with a variety of hydraulic modelling software products. We are looking for a driven professional with a specific interest in innovation and learning new technologies. The ideal candidate would be someone who wants to take their career to the next level, with a desire to evolve within Mott MacDonald and to develop management skills on top of their technical background.

We are seeking interest from a wide range of Hydraulic Modellers - Intermediate - Leaders.

Candidate Specification

Essential Criteria

• Degree qualified.
• Modelling experience in wastewater, stormwater or water supply water
• Some exposure to hydraulic modelling projects with clients such as councils and developers.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Exposure to report writing.
• Experience with at least one of the following: Infoworks ICM, Mike Urban, Tuflow, InfoWater, EPANET
• Robust experience with GIS platforms.
• Ability to be a team player and develop relationships at all levels.
• Ability to rapidly learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of database systems
