Senior Project Engineer - Civil/Structural

Job Description

  • Project controls and planning for combinations of the following project types: natural gas pipeline, facilities, liquids, transmission, gathering, midstream and treatment
  • Coordinate engineering/design execution, planning, and interface and ensure that activities are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Prepare project execution and quality plans, projects plan of works, initial projects safety review, initial projects environmental review, and project control system
  • Coordinate with project engineers and other discipline engineers and ensure consistency in execution of project management activities
  • Organize and conduct project meetings, and technical and progress reviews
  • Capable of leading/managing a team of engineers and specialists

Candidate Specification

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • PE (KY or WV) required
  • Ten or more years' detailed engineering design experience with linear infrastructure project types related to oil and gas pipelines, metering & compressor stations as well as pump stations
  • Experience working in a team environment of engineers and specialists
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills
  • Self-motivated, ability to manage changing priorities
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Pipeline Toolbox. Knowledge of ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195) a plus. GIS a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and work with multi-disciplinary teams; and deal with complex issues and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to prepare and interpret design reports, recognize problems, and define and evaluate solutions
  • Ability to mentor staff on natural gas pipeline and facility projects
