MEP Revit Technician

Job Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated BIM technician to join our growing Building Services team in Glasgow, where we are providing project management, design and supervisory services to a range of private and public sector clients on a variety of projects.

As a BIM technician, you will be involved on a range of small to large projects which may be high profile. The role will be challenging, varied, and will offer great opportunities for skill set and career development.

Recent and current projects undertaken include Education, Aviation, Rail, Defence, Energy, Industrial and Healthcare.

Job Description

As an experienced BIM technician you will be involved on a range of small to large projects as part of our team covering all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Systems. The role will be challenging, demanding and varied. The key elements of the role are (but not limited to): You will be expected to produce and develop 3D co-ordinated models using BIM Authoring tools such as Revit MEP and producing schematic and detailed 2D drawings using company standard BIM systems, processes and procedures. Candidate Specification

Essential requirements to be considered for the role: You will be required to work on projects relating to Mechanical and Electrical Building Services so experience in these areas will be necessary. You will be required to produce and develop 3D co-ordinated models using Revit MEP. Liaising with other engineers and technicians is essential so you must have good communication skills. Experience in the use of Revit MEP are requirements for the role and experience in the use of AECOsim / Microstation would be an advantage.
Experience of using Dynamo and other productivity tools would be an advantage. An HNC/D or equivalent in a related discipline (mechanical/electrical engineering, architecture etc) would be required.

As a significant portion of our works is Defence related you will be required to have SC clearance or be capable of achieving this so there is a requirement for the applicant to be a UK National.
