We are currently looking to expand our team with additional skills in HV cable systems design.
The specialist in HV cable systems will join our multi disciplinary T & D engineering team. The client base consists of transmission and distribution utilities, works contractors, private developers, lenders, specialist works contractors and financial organizations amongst others. Mott MacDonald's wider energy team also encompasses specialists and experts in power transmission, distribution and generation covering both the established mature markets as well as the state of the art.
This role will be expected to support this and other sectors of the business.
You may also be called upon to project manager or to lead the technical aspects of projects specifically relating to HV cable systems. You will input to or undertake feasibility studies, conceptual designs and design development, detailed designs, owners engineer roles, project management and provide advice to Mott MacDonald clients as part of a team. The role will be UK based from our offices but you will be required to travel to clients offices and sites in both the UK and overseas dependent on the project requirements.
The HV Cable Systems engineer will be a leader in cable systems engineering, and will work either Leading a team or as part of a team delivering a variety of cable projects in the UK and abroad. The cable projects may cover both HVAC and HVDC systems with the majority of projects requiring a demonstrated experience of sub-transmission and transmission systems. Projects are diverse and may require involvement with onshore and offshore systems, distribution networks, transmission networks, system interconnectors.
