Asset management advisor

Job Profile

We give clients confidence in these outcomes through a range of strategic asset management services, including strategy development, asset management planning, performance improvement, investment appraisal, regulatory advisory services and assurance and audit.

The launch of ISO 55000 is generating particular interest in asset management capability across all utility and asset owning sectors, both in the UK and worldwide, and we are keen to bring new advisors into our team to keep up with this demand. Do you have the skills to help us achieve success?

Job Description

Your work will primarily focus on the regulated water utility sector in the UK, but will also include work in the wider infrastructure industry, covering areas such as nuclear decommissioning, buildings and transportation, in the UK and worldwide. Typical duties and responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting asset management capability audits using ISO 55000 and PAS 55
  • Supporting development of asset management systems and strategies
  • Supporting development of asset management tools and processes to add value to client operations
  • Use of risk-based methods to assess investment needs
  • Regulatory assurance activities (e.g. auditing of annual performance submissions and business plans)

Candidate Specification

  • Some experience/knowledge of ISO 55000 / PAS 55
  • Some experience of developing asset management capabilities
  • Knowledge of risk-based methods of investment planning
  • Some project management, client liaison and consulting skills
  • Actively involved with the Institute of Asset Management and working towards membership
  • Willingness to undertake assignments throughout the UK, as well as short international visits
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with UK water sector regulation
  • Assurance/audit experience
  • Experience of using asset information
