Our team in Aberdeen is growing and we are looking to recruit a Civil engineer to lead and deliver on a variety of projects in the energy sector. Job Description

As an experienced civil engineer, you will be responsible for the development of technical solutions, from feasibility stage, through various gateway design stages and ultimately delivery to the construction site. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be involved in appraising civil engineering infrastructure development schemes linked to the energy sector and their design development. You will also work on:

• Managing the design of buildings linked to midstream infrastructure
• Preparation of work breakdown structures and work programming
• Negotiation and preparation of planning documents with client stakeholders
• Working within multi-disciplinary design teams in the Energy, Buildings, Water and Infrastructure sectors
• Preparation of designs, studies, specifications, and reports

Candidate Specification

As a degree qualified civil engineer, you will have experience delivering technical aspects of civil projects across the midstream energy infrastructure sector which could include pipeline schemes, major plant and storage developments. We can offer the support to develop your technical skills to work towards chartership and follow the career path your choice. Part of the role is working with internal and external stakeholders, so you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.

• Chartered, or working towards chartered status (CEng/MICE)
• Ability to communicate and manage project milestones and deal with potential issues that may arise
• Good understanding of contractual issues and risks relating to delivery of projects
• Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of statutory, technical, and environmental considerations and the ability to provide technical solutions to meet those obligations
