We currently have an opportunity for an Accountant within our Finance team in Singapore. We are looking for an independent and dynamic individual who is keen to work in a fast paced environment.

Job Description

The role of accountant will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:
  • Responsible for financial accounting, quarterly reporting, review of monthly balance sheet and P&L schedules, statutory audits, and corporate secretarial matters
  • Proficient in handling withholding tax, GST reporting, corporate tax computation for quarterly and year-end provisions, liaise and review corporate tax return from tax compliance consultant
  • Manage working capital to ensure a proper understanding of capital employed with WIP promptly billed and debts promptly collected
  • Assist managers to assess financial aspects of contracts in order to facilitate invoicing and payments, identify grounds for additional fees, and recognize corrective actions
  • Production & Analyse Management Accounts, including variances, project deterioration/improvements, utilisation, OH & propose WIP adjustment to reflect performance.
  • Assist in the evaluation and preparation of project proposals
  • Supervise accounts assistants and provide guidance,
    training and performance coaching
  • Provide training to staff to understand and interpret project info to ensure good project budgeting

Candidate Specification

To manage the work and responsibilities in this role, you will need to be competent with the following qualifications, experience and abilities:
  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance
  • Chartered Accountant, CPA or ACCA
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in a similar capacity / function
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Dynamic, and able to work in a fast pace environment and meet tight deadline
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good team player
