Job Description

We are seeking a payroll specialist to assist with the processing and administration of our multi-state payroll using ADP Vantage for 2000+ employees. You could be our next payroll specialist accomplishing the following tasks on a day to day basis.

Responsibilities include:

-Processing and review of bi-weekly payroll for all full and part time employees
-Reconciliation of ADP file to the timesheet file
-Review of timesheets to determine compliance with vacation, sick and holiday policies
-Processing of new employees, terminations, transfers, wage changes
-Set up and review of direct deposit, benefits, 401k deductions, garnishments, child support, tax levies, ACH reversals, stop payments
-Maintenance in ADP of deduction codes, GL account coding
-Set up of unemployment and income tax accounts with new states
-Administration and transmission of 401k payments
-Run & Create custom reports using ADP Vantage
-Contact with ADP to resolve payroll issues
-Review quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and W2’s
-Research new federal & state laws regarding payroll issues
-Promptly respond to inquiries from employees
-Ad hoc reports on as needed basis
-Transmit benefit information to provider
-Special projects

Candidate Specification

  • Candidates with 5 to 10 years experience processing payroll for 1500-2000 employees.
  • Intermediate - Advanced Excel is required. Pivot tables, v look up, etc.
  • Must be well organized
  • Must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Experience with ADP Vantage Preferred;
  • 4 year degree is preferred
