Senior EC&I Designer

The Energy Unit, specifically the Power, Process & Nuclear division are recruiting a Senior EC&I Designer with proven experience in the drafting and design of EC&I systems for industrial/nuclear projects. This role will be based at our Westlakes, Cumbria offices.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide input to programmes, reporting on progress
  • Provide input to Quality Plans/keep up to date document tracker
  • Produce Site Survey Reports
  • Participate in Design Reviews and, where appropriate, organise such reviews
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients
  • Carry out CE&I surveys
  • Produce CE&I design drawings/documentation including detailed equipment location/ elevation drawings (double line dimension level of information), detailed cable routing drawings including component specifications
  • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Liaise with the Engineering Manager to ensure effective project delivery to time and cost


Candidate Specification

Candidate Specification:
  • Educated to HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a chartered engineer & member of an appropriate institute
  • Understanding of the design process and experience in all stages of design (concept, preliminary through to detail design stage)
  • Knowledge of CIMAGE and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Replicon
  • Good working knowledge of Sellafield design procedures and standards in particular, the Electrical Supply Infrastructure series of standards is preferable
  • P1/P4 pass holder advantageous
