Opportunities exist to manage and support a range of small to large-scale projects within our Vancouver office. The role will be challenging, demanding, varied and offer opportunities for skill set and career development. As a Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager, working as an integral part of Mott MacDonald Canada, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Planning, organizing, and working with technical groups in the delivery of project requirements.
Project management and coordination of linear infrastructure engineering projects.
Project coordination on complex, large multi-disciplinary projects.
Preparation of technical specifications and design reports.
Providing support to business development and strategic initiatives, including preparation and the leading of proposals.
Developing new and maintaining existing client relationships.
Mentoring and development of technical staff.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Graduate from a recognized and accredited University in Civil Engineering.
P.Eng. registered in BC or eligible for professional registration in BC.
8-12 years of experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering and managing a variety of linear infrastructure transportation projects.
Experience of operations and maintenance planning would be a highly valued asset.
Familiarity with industry standard design packages such as Autodesk Civil 3D.
Experience in civil engineering design, preferably relating to rail and transit infrastructure, to a level to guide junior staff. Roadway design experience will be considered.
Previous experience in the procurement or delivery of design build or P3 projects would be preferable.
Proficient in the use of typical office packages such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project and other comparable such programs including the desire to utilize the full capabilities of Office365.
Excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with a commitment to thrive in a proactive organization where client service is paramount.
Ability to manage projects to meet required performance, safety and business standards.
Business development experience would be considered an asset, including a demonstrated interest in the development and maintenance of client relations.
Ability to meet demanding schedules and adaptability to changing priorities is a valuable asset.
