Graduate landscape architect

Having won a number of bids we are expanding our landscape team. We have an exciting opportunity for a career focussed graduate landscape architect to join our expanding team in Southampton.

Our multi-disciplinary environmental team of consists of over 40 professionals. Their expertise covers a diverse range in sustainability, carbon, landscape, arboriculture, ecology, air quality, noise and vibration, environmental management, planning and assessment fields.
In particular our landscape team has an expanding workload supporting the design and assessment of major infrastructure projects and urban design schemes.

We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate landscape architect to join the team in Southampton.

Job Description

Typical duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Undertaking site surveys in support of landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA)
  • Assisting in the analysis and development of landscape and environmental improvement schemes
  • Assisting in the production of conceptual and detailed designs (and associated contract drawings), presentation drawings, schedules and specifications for landscape and urban design improvement schemes
  • Assisting with other environmental field surveys

Candidate Specification

For this role you will need a good combination of the following:
  • Recently completed a Masters or Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture
  • Licentiate membership of the Landscape Institute
  • Understanding of both hard and soft landscape design
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop and SketchUp
  • Full, clean driving licence, and willing to travel throughout the UK and internationally as required
If you can also offer any of the following skills that would be advantageous:
  • Experience in the use of MicroStation, KeySCAPE, Key Terra-Firma and 3D Studio
  • Good free hand drawing skills would also be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA)
  • Good report writing skills
