Job Description

This role sits within the Croydon office of the Buildings and Infrastructure business unit. It is an exciting new role with a remit to find and attract high quality candidates in line with Mott Macdonald’s growth and succession plans. You will be a trusted advisor to our team of In-house Recruiters and will support in delivering a quality recruitment service to all business areas.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Working in partnership with In house recruiters to service live vacancies within Mott Macdonald.
  • You will be responsible for marketing vacancies to maximise the attraction of direct applicants utilising all appropriate channels including company websites, job boards and LinkedIn plus other social media.
  • You will help the In House recruitment team maintain cost control and efficiencies to work within budget through maximising referrals and direct applications to minimise agency spend.
  • Undertake local market analysis, benchmarking and candidate profiling and where appropriate use headhunting techniques to identify and recruit appropriate staff.
Day- to- day duties include;
  • Candidate Management
  • Database cleansing; ensuring the internal data base is accurate and up to date
  • Advertising on job boards and doing regular searches for suitable candidates.

Candidate Specification

To join our team you must currently be a successful resourcer within one of the following disciplines - rail/structural/environment/highways/building services with agency and in-house experience and the desire help shape, and be an integral part of the business.

The attributes you demonstrate will include:
  • Proven focused approach and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel.
  • Able to work in a team and cope under a pressure in a deadline driven environment.
  • Essential experience recruiting within at least one of our engineering sectors (civil/rail/structural/building services)
  • Strong social media presence with the ability to advise and encourage staff to promote the company
  • An established network of contacts within the buildings and infrastructure sectors (excluding oil and gas)
  • Experience of recruitment systems
  • Success in headhunting activity
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
