About the business unit  
The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Overview of the role 
Our Transmission & Distribution Division is seeking a resource coordinator for tracking and coordinating resources across the Civil and Structural engineering team .
This role will provide support to Resource Team (Lead) to allocate bid and project teams to account leaders, including collaboration with other Divisions and Units, tracking, and managing staff utilisation, planning and forecasting.

 As a Civil and Structural Engineering Team Resource coordinator, you will coordinate and track staff utilisation for a team of technical and project management professionals across the team in Energy Networks Division. The Resource coordinator role is operational, day to day coordination / management with potential of growing into a strategic role.

You will work closely with Resource Team (Lead) and Technical Leads from Civil and other disciplines to understand technical delivery of our projects and Account Leads to understand the client demands and prospects. You will combine this knowledge with understanding of our current capabilities, enabling you to identify our capability development and recruitment strategies with Resource Team (Lead).

 

Your role responsibilities include:

  • Tracking utilisation of team staff 
  • Setting up and managing a resource tracking system
  • Reporting to Resource Team (Lead) and proving support for staff allocation to Projects and Bids
  • Staff engagement, ensuring that our people are happy and effective
  • Providing support for recruitment, in line with the capability plan (supported by line managers and technical leads)
