Our Philadelphia office is seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in water / wastewater treatment design. Our Philadelphia office supports a broad spectrum of public and private clients. In this position, you will work alongside other professional engineers on Water and Wastewater projects in the Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia areas. We are looking for people who can function as role models and ambassadors for Mott MacDonald, articulating and representing the brand, vision, and value proposition internally and externally. 

Responsibilities of the position will include but not be limited to the following: 

  • Manage and execute work on water and wastewater treatment, and water utilities planning, design, and construction projects.  Projects may include water distribution and treatment, and wastewater collection and treatment.
  • Manage multidisciplinary design teams of planning and/or design engineering projects, supervising and coordinating several assignments simultaneously.
  • Coordination with CADD technicians.
  • Establish and periodically review scope, schedule and budgets for projects and reviewing progress against a baseline.   

 

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience: 

  • B.S. degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering is required.
  • M.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in water and wastewater related projects – planning, design, execution, and cost estimation for water and/or wastewater treatment design projects.
  • PE or ability to obtain within one year in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.
  • A successful candidate will be a self-starter with ability to lead and manage people and projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents.
