Our Baltimore office is currently looking to add a Project Manager with experience in developing and implementing a variety of water/wastewater projects. You will be tasked with developing, executing, and managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects. We are looking for people who can function as role models and ambassadors for Mott MacDonald, articulating and representing the brand, vision, and value proposition internally and externally. Our Baltimore office supports a broad spectrum of public and private clients.

Responsibilities of the position will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Manage and execute work on wastewater, stormwater, and water utilities planning, design, and construction projects. Projects may include water distribution and treatment, wastewater collection and treatment, pipeline and pump station rehabilitation, and stormwater.
  • Lead project teams in planning and/or designing engineering projects, supervising and coordinating several assignments simultaneously.
  • Establish and periodically review scope, schedule, and budget for projects.
  • Identify potential business development opportunities with existing clients and take an active or lead role in the proposal process.
  • Maintain client relationships during and after each project is finished to increase our opportunities for future work.
  • Perform non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for a complete project of limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project.
  • Apply diversified knowledge of engineering/scientific principles/practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
  • Calculate cost and determine feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.

 

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

  • B.S. degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in design and management of water/wastewater engineering projects.
  • PE is required. The candidate should also be able to obtain a PE in the State of Maryland during the first year of employment.
  • Mentoring of less experienced engineers.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required.
  • A successful candidate will be a self-starter with ability to lead and manage people and projects.
  • Understands the commercial approach to delivering projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents.

Salary Range: $106,000-$130,000
