About the role:

 

We are hiring for our Oil and Gas team based in Dubai, and we currently have a position for Loss Prevention Engineer. 

 

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Experience of Fire Fighting designs, NFPA based, for Oil Storage Terminals is a must.
  • Required to undertake conceptual, front-end, detailed process engineering design and reviews for firewater and foam networks
  • Liquid Steady State and Transient (Surge) Flow Analysis.
  • Generation and review of design documents including PFDs, P&IDs, Input to layouts
  • Equipment list, Process datasheets 
  • Basis of Design
  • Control & Operating Philosophies
  • Feasibility Reports
  • Tie-in list, Line list
  • Firefighting design – PFDs, P&IDs, Philosophy, Fire water and foam demand calculations, hydraulics, datasheets. Shall be conversant with NFPA 30.
  • Knowledge of UAE Life and Safety Code is a must.
  • Process inputs to other disciplines.
  • Attendance, review and close out reports for Safety Studies including but not limited to HAZID, HAZOP, SIL
  • Development of conceptual schemes and studies
  • Conversant with instrumentation and control systems

 

Candidate Specification : 

  • Preparation of studies and reports, calculations and drawings to support other disciplines in the preparation of their deliverables.
  • B.E / B. Tech with extensive experience in Tank Terminals for Oil / Petrochemical storage
  • Strong communication skills to interact with other engineering disciplines and clients.
  • A team player capable of working with, managing and motivating others to consistently deliver.
  • Willingness to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks.
