Senior Finance and Management Adviser

Job Description:

We are looking for a newly Qualified or part qualified Management Accountant to join the Group Finance Systems team reporting to the Finance Systems Operations Manager. 

This role will also be the subject matter expert for the billing module within the ERP. This will include both fixed price and time and material methodologies. 

Understanding the transactional level detail of the management reports will be key in building experience and confidence in how the reporting works in order to lead on user queries as well as defining and testing changes to reports. 

The role will also support the cost model calculation module within the ERP.

A key area of responsibility will be assisting end users solve management accounting system queries they have logged through our ticketing portal.

The individual will work with end users to provide training for new starters alongside focused refresher training. Will also take the lead on drafting communication plans.

Key Duties

• Assisting with the change management process for system enhancements (reviewing the request, testing development).
• Assist with the testing of core system upgrades.
• Answering user tickets logged in the Group MyFinance ServiceNow resolver group, including assisting with resolving general queries. With a key focus on management reporting, cost models and invoicing.
• Interface with Group IT team to resolve system or report issues.
• Support update of weekly cost models
• Support adhoc tasks and special projects

Candidate Specification

Essential

• Newly Qualified or part qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) 
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and management reporting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Able to establish good working relationships with colleagues in other functions and work collaboratively
• Able to work on own initiative

Desirable

• Familiarity with Deltek Maconomy
• Familiarity with ServiceNow
