The successful candidate will be based in our Croydon Office depending on project requirements, there may also be a need to travel to other locations (company or client, office or site) within the UK and overseas.
You will be responsible for providing technical input, on the issues described below, on major projects which Mott MacDonald is undertaking.
The work covers all areas of DC and AC traction power systems including issues associated with earthing and bonding of such systems and also including in AC/DC interface areas. The candidate should be able to work in the following subject matter areas, including supervision of junior staff.

Essential academic, professional qualifications and experience:
Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject and Chartered engineer
Substantial experience in a Railway design and build or consultancy business
Able to work within a Microstation environment and familiar with EDMS such as Projectwise
Desirable academic, professional qualifications and experience:
First Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject.
Extensive experience in traction power engineering within a Railway design and build or consultancy business
Desired competencies / skills:
Ability to utilise Excel, Mathcad, Matlab or similar packages for complex studies and calculations
