Mechanical building services engineer

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing building services team in Belfast. We can offer you the opportunity to further your career along the path you chose and to be involved in some of the industry leading projects within the local market. You will have responsibility for all aspects of assigned project work, as well as supporting junior members of the team

You will also:


• Responsibility for the mechanical design of the project, including technical and design management
• Preparation of specifications and drawings for predominantly mechanical systems
• Working and liaising with associated engineering disciplines as part of delivering projects
• Manage internal and external stakeholders - Support senior managers running the commercial and contractual side of projects
• Ensure the production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget
• Offer consultative service to clients, exceeding expectations and delivering first class service.

Candidate Specification

You will need to demonstrate similar building services experience with a mechanical design background and the ability to integrate a multi-disciplinary approach, to deliver a holistic solution to our clients.

You will also need;

• Chartered or working towards chartered status
• Be degree qualified in mechanical building services engineering or similar
• Preferably have knowledge of IES and thermal modelling
• Have experience in sustainability and BREEAM
• Experience of working on large building projects
• Strong client management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation
