Job Description

Our Portland, Oregon office is seeking a Civil Engineer for business development and to support ongoing and new projects in Portland.

This hire will be able to lead business development activities, manage projects, and supervise technical team members.
He/She will support the project planning practice activities working with the relevant Practice Leader(s).
It is highly desirable that the selected candidate be familiar with the Oregon engineering and construction market and clients and have a track record of providing reliable support.

Candidate Specification

Required skills:

  • Ideal candidates must have a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering and 8 - 12 years of experience;
  • PE registration in OR and WA or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Project/Construction management experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following disciplines is desirable:
    • Highways/bridges,
    • railroads,
    • transit/transportation systems,
    • aviation,
    • marine facilities,
    • water/wastewater,
    • traffic engineering/design and ITS areas of traffic planning and design development
    • facilities


This position requires strong technical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
