Mott MacDonald is located near to St Paul's Cathedral in central London and our highly successful Strategic BIM Consultancy business is looking to expand. We work for a number of infrastructure owners across the UK and overseas and cover all aspects of the asset life-cycle. Acting as part of the BIM Consultancy team, you will work closely with others on advising asset owners on all aspects of the strategic implementation of BIM and digital information management into their own organisations. In a client facing role you will support principal consultants and managing technicians and graduates.

Job Description

Support the growth and delivery of Mott MacDonald’s advisory services in the strategic implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM), and wider delivery of digital Information Management.

Working across the sectors of transportation, water, buildings and energy, projects will be delivered from a London base to service global markets supported by locally resourced Mott MacDonald teams.

Play a supporting role in growing the size, capability and expertise of the London team in providing strategic implementation of BIM and digital Information Management.

Support senior members of the team in providing consultancy to key clients, assisting them to realise the benefits of digital information management and how it can improve their efficiency and provide for a better outcome on projects.

Help produce a range of key deliverables – strategies, reports, presentation slide decks and other imagery – that communicate ideas and simplify complex issues.

Be open to working with numerous clients on a concurrent basis, applying lateral thinking and diligence in supporting the success of the team

Assist with tender submissions to respond to new opportunities

Self-motivated with good organisational capability and ability to work independently when necessary, on occasion within client premises.


Candidate Specification

Formal Education & Certification
  • University degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management, or related subject – Essential.
  • Working towards chartered status through a major, well-known professional institution – Desirable.
  • Working towards formal Project Management accreditation (PRINCE2 / APMP) – Desirable.
Knowledge and Experience required
  • Post-graduate experience in operating within a professional services, asset owner client or construction orientated environments
  • Experience of working in a complex construction or engineering project environment.
  • Experience in providing consultancy services including technical advice and guidance.
  • Some exposure to the practical use of BIM, CAD and/or GIS on projects for information creation and management.
  • Revit, Bentley, Microstation, AECOsim experience
  • Awareness of the significance of organisational structure, governance and business process
