Community and Stakeholder Engagement Consultant

Job Profile

Our Sydney Community and Stakeholder Engagement team is looking for a new team member with between 2 to 5 years’ experience to provide communication and engagement on large infrastructure projects.

This newly created role has become available due to strong growth within the team and exciting opportunities within the industry.

Job Description

Located in the Sydney CBD the role will give you the ability to work with a variety of clients and allow you to be mentored by experienced industry professionals.

Key duties of this new role will include:

• Manage and draft general project communications (including key messages, newsletters, letters, web text, flyers, posters, and other collateral)
• Community engagement tasks on infrastructure projects
• Engage with multi-disciplinary teams
• Attend and where required facilitate project and stakeholder meetings
• Provide strategic advice based on stakeholder and community engagement
• Data entry on key consultation databases (Consultation Manager)
• Collating, analysing and reporting on stakeholder and community feedback during the consultation process
• Manages client relationships and approval of all public-facing documents/ key messages

Candidate Specification

The successful applicant will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• IAP2 Certification will be highly advantageous or desire to undertake training
• Experience in technical field
• Proven analytical skills and ability to interpret data/ information in a meaningful way
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders/clients
• Ability to prepare professional documents

It will also be beneficial for the applicant to have government experience in infrastructure development.
