Assistant Project Manager

Job Profile

The advisory and programme delivery division delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity from £million’s to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of programme management, project management, project controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, infrastructure finance, management consulting, digital consulting, education and healthcare management.

Our buildings portfolio is primarily a UK business working in both the public and private sector of the construction market.
We provide ost and project management services for a wide range of clients including central government, local authorities and private clients.
We work in the majority of buildings market sectors including workplace, residential, law and order, health, education, retail, sports and commercial property.

Job Description

Key tasks will include:
  • undertake coordination of project tasks as directed by the project management team
  • provide day to day support to the project manager
  • manage the development and delivery of projects
  • establish effective communications across the project delivery, client and stakeholder teams
  • contribute to the control of the internal and external commercial aspects of projects across a range of contractual arrangements
  • support and manage the delivery of projects in accordance with the quality plan, including participation in regular internal and client audits

Candidate Specification

  • a relevant degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management
  • partial experience in a project management role
  • working towards membership of the APM
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • effective time management
  • ability to prioritise and work under pressure
