Mott MacDonald’s Advisory Practice brings together the global management services operating in the Buildings, Energy, Environment​​​​​​​​​ and Water, Transportation, Education, and Healthcare sectors.
We deliver services to projects and programmes ranging in scale and complexity from £1m to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of asset management, project, programme and commercial management, economics, and infrastructure finance.


Our Business Improvement and Change team works with clients across industry sectors, and specialises in delivering a range of services including:

  • business improvement
  • business transformation
  • programme management
  • procurement; and
  • business case advisory

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior leader to join our fast-growing team and develop our business in London and the South East.
The role will include:


  • Leading and driving business improvement and business transformation programmes
  • Responsibility for developing business and securing commissions
  • Growing revenue and profit in line with agreed targets
  • Building internal and external networks to identify new opportunities
  • Supporting Customer Account Managers and Practice Leaders
  • Recruiting, managing and developing a team of consultants
  • Supporting the leadership team to develop capability and promote our services across the UK and internationally.

Candidate Specification

We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following:

Essential:

  • A strong record of accomplishment in business transformation and/or improvement services within industry and/or consulting
  • Senior leadership roles at an organisational level or on major projects/programmes, and the ability to operate at a senior level with clients
  • Industry experience within the infrastructure, utilities, construction, energy, or transportation sectors
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and experience of securing significant work
  • Team management experience, through line management or project teams
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Ability to show initiative and adaptability
  • Flexibility for travel within the UK and internationally, if required, dependent on business needs and assignments
