Job Description

Mott MacDonald is seeking a (Civil/Environmental, or Mechanical) graduated engineer to work under the direction of a Professional Engineer in our municipal group. In this position you will gain exposure and hands on experience to engineering design.

In this position, you will be working as part of a design team, assisting with:
  • conceptual, preliminary and detailed design
  • site inspection
  • design calculations
  • report writing
  • Introduction and training on AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Microstation or BIM.
Projects to include municipal projects with local towns and municipalities. Projects will range from Water/Wastewater, roadway, Parks Development, Surveying, Land Development, Environmental and general city infrastructure.

Candidate Specification

  • Studying for a Master's, Bachelor's level degree or diploma in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Passing of FE Exam or Certified EIT preferred
  • Prior internship experience in the infrastructure engineering industry preferred
  • Junior and Senior level students would be preferred
  • Prior class knowledge or working knowledge of engineering design programs (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM, Revit or similar) preferred
  • A genuine interest in engineering design
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized and a self starter
  • Effective in both verbal and written communication
