Job Description

As Process Engineer you will input to developing design solutions for water and wastewater treatment including initial feasibility studies, conceptual designs, detailed designs; and in the review of Contractor designs as well as troubleshooting and optimising existing systems. Tasks include:
  • Providing process design input at all stages of a project;
  • Mentoring junior staff in process design;
  • Preparing specifications and contract documents;
  • Preparing cost estimates, and report writing;
  • Giving presentations and attending meetings;
  • Assisting in the management of projects;
  • Preparing programmes and risk registers;
  • Participating in Business Development activities;
  • Implementing Company procedures for Quality, Health & Safety and Environment;
  • Working in a team environment;
  • Attending training seminars and workshops.

Candidate Specification

The minimum requirements for the position are as follows:
  • Level 8 Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent);
  • Have (or working towards) Chartered Engineer status from a recognised institution;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience and a proven track record in process design in water or wastewater;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office;
  • Ability to work in a team environment
Ideally candidates will also possess:
  • Knowledge of various forms of contract used for procurement in the water sector (e.g. FIDIC).
  • Working knowledge of software including InfoWorks (optional), ArcGIS (optional), & Microsoft Project or other programming software.
