Project Controls Specialist

Job Description

This position will be responsible for project administrative support with Mott MacDonald in our Pittsburgh office. This position will require the following responsibilities:
  • Assistance with preparation and tracking of invoices and Accounts Payable.
  • Assistance with various contract compliance requirements including insurance, subcontractor approvals, monthly reporting.
  • Assistance with updating and revising project schedules
  • Assistance with monitoring and updating budgets for multiple projects
  • Assistance with document management and document control

Candidate Specification

Essential academic, professional qualifications and experience
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Journalism, Communication or a related field preferred
  • 2-6 years experience in a corporate environment
  • IT skills; You must be a confident user of software packages such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and MS Project.
  • Experienced with or ability to quickly learn various document management/ project intranet systems including ProjectWise, Sharepoint, Deltek and e-Builder.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written communications.
  • Demonstrate ability to build strong relationships with team members at all levels and external clients.
  • Convey requirements to staff at all levels in a confident manner, and be prepared to work to tight deadlines on short notice.
  • Good organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to work with various managers on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Familiar with Quality Management programs and process compliance reporting
