We are hiring a Structure Representative/Senior Structural Engineer.
This hire will be a licensed California Civil Engineer with a proven track record of performing construction and design services for rail and transit projects.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Key responsibilities/ Duties:
Work with the contractor, the client, and the client's project manager.
Project Management and coordination with other engineering disciplines covering a range of project requirements during design and construction
Check contractors’ submissions and respond to the contractor’s request for information
Responsible for ensuring that the section of works are constructed in accordance with the contract requirements
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing Mott MacDonald’s reputation with the client and developing further long-term client relationships
Strong structural design experience with underground structures, bridges, retaining walls analysis
Perform design of structural systems for various materials, such as steel, concrete, and masonry.
Knowledge of computer applications: related design software
Excellent time-management skills
Ability to perform moderately complex assignments, exercise independent judgment, establish positive working relationships with multiple clients, and work independently with minimum supervision.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, working with others in a team setting, communicating directly with the task manager and other staff
Demonstrate experience of technical proposals evaluation and its constructability, technology deployment, and solving technical problems during course of the project
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structures. California Professional Engineer registration is required
California Structural Engineer is preferred.
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of structural experience in construction, design and supervision of major transportation projects and, in particular, the successful completion rail and transit projects
