Mott MacDonald’s International Water, Environment and Climate Change division (IWECC), part of our global International Development Services group, is seeking an experienced River Engineering Team Leader, for new projects and prospects in Asia. These will be in-country, resident river engineering assignments ranging from 6 months to several years.
Extensive experience in in planning, design and implementation of river engineering projects with prior experience as a Team Leader for at least two projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams composed of international and national consultants.
Experience with monitoring and recordkeeping of projects, preparing work plans, budgets, procurement, contracts, progress reports and financial reports.
Significant experience with large alluvial rivers in Asia, relating to riverbank engineering design and construction supervision for protection and erosion risks, flooding and water resource planning.
Establishing integrated non-structural and structural risk management measures at priority sites
Broad experience including project management, feasibility studies, hydraulic modelling.
Familiar with the requirements of leading development projects for International Funding Institutions such as DFID, WB, ADB, USAID
Track record of leading and maintaining excellent relations with stakeholders (donors, partners, communities) and institutional strengthening of governmental authorities.
