Job Description


Government of India is implementing a Dedicated Freight Corridor project (DFCC). The Work on the Eastern section of the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) between Mughalsarai and Bhaupur (approx 402 Kms) is to be constructed as an electrified (2 x 25kV AC- 50 Hz) double track railway, capable of operating at a maximum train speed of 100km/h. Mott MacDonald's role is for project management consultancy for the above mentioned project.

Expert to be stationed at Allahabad

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing of safety and programme implementation
    for construction of freight railway line
  • Circulating the recommendation of the accident/incident report to the concerned for implementation and risk Review of method statement assessment.
  • Lead and participated in continuous improvement process ability to work with people at all levels to achieve OHS / business outcome
  • Implement/ sustain safety and health policy and procedures
  • Organize project safety meeting / monthly safety committee
  • Periodical inspections and audits to identify non-compliance and other adherence towards HSE standards
  • Safety promoting/Motivational program
  • Motivating work force in the view of behaviour based approach
  • Submit daily, weekly and monthly HSE performance status
  • Periodical inspection and certifications, HSE walk through reports
  • Ensure safety induction training is given for all workmen working at the project site
  • Identifying the unsafe conditions, Un-safe actions and ensure the compliance of same within the agreed time lines.

Candidate Specification

  • Holds an engineering degree from a recognised reputed university
  • 12+ years of experience with a proven record in site safety
  • 7+ years of experience in Railway, Transport or Infrastructure projects
