Wholly independent and employee owned, we have staff worldwide working in all sectors including transport, energy, buildings, water and the environment and advisory.

Our team is welcoming a new leader in Advanced Computational Design and we are seeking to grow our team further with a mid-level Digital Designer for our structural digital modelling team in Auckland.

Job Description

Our team consists of digital modellers and uses various tools to deliver structural designs. This includes Revit as one of the primary modelling tools however we use many others. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is also a process of design that we follow, but we are also involved in the development of the digital engineering workflow, advanced geometry, parametric processes and imagery.

As our newest team member, you will have at least 3 years of in the Building Engineering sector with at least 3 years Modelling / BIM / Revit experience.
This role will develop your career as part of a team where you will take a lead modelling role on assigned projects and mentor and train junior staff.

Collaborating with other staff and disciplines as a team player you will produce structural models, drawings and detailed structural elements. These will then be used to create drawings, schedules and visualisations from 3D models for use in technical reports, presentations and marketing material.

The ability to use parametric procedures to generate adaptive model geometry in collaboration with other designers is also needed.

• Experience developing other staff
• A quality portfolio of work that the candidates are proud to describe. A real understanding of the ‘story’ of these projects and how they added value
• Varied building engineering project experience using multiple materials
• Some knowledge of building information modelling, its process and implementation
• Industry relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification; Professional Degree Preferred
• A background of computer programming or algorithm generation
