We provide multi-disciplinary engineering design and project management services across a wide range of industrial sectors. We have a long-established record of providing engineering services to the Water Sector in Ireland.
Our current project portfolio includes water and wastewater networks & treatment facilities; flood defence schemes; and other related infrastructural projects.

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious individual to provide leadership and expand our Water Sector business in Ireland. Candidates for the position must be a recognised professional within the industry in Ireland and have a proven track record of managing a portfolio of projects for the public water sector. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our Global team in delivery of public infrastructure to enhance the everyday lives of the community.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have an understanding of and carry out the following;

Technical Leadership
  • know what looks right and provide positive challenge to our team, client and stakeholders;
  • a key knowledge of the water industry and our clients is essential for the role;
  • You will develop relationships with some of our key clients ensuring that they are briefed on the issues and risks and how these are to be managed and mitigated;
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical detail to a non-technical audience;
  • A strong technical knowledge of multi-discipline engineering and experience managing multi-discipline projects;
  • Knowledge of current industry standards and software applications;
Project Management
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing/ using project management processes;
  • resource planning;
  • scheduling;
  • cost controls;
  • budget monitoring;
  • variance controls;
  • implementing BMS processes;
  • and ability to foresee problem and take proactive decisions/ actions.
Commercial Management
  • Understanding of different types of contracts;
  • assessment of contract risks;
  • implementation of risk register and risk management plans;
  • contractual documentation requirements such as EOTs;
  • protection against LDs and scope changes and liabilities.
Client Engagement
  • Ability to engage with senior level officers of the clients;
  • understanding client feedback and ability to convert into concrete actions for improvement;
  • resolve commercial/ contract issues through effective client engagement.
People Engagement
  • Ability to engage with the staff;
  • effective in communication;
  • promoting our corporate values;
  • inspiring professional excellence;
  • ability to build large teams at sites;
  • promoting safety culture and ethical behaviour;
  • staff development and implementing training needs;
  • performance management;
  • implementing mechanism for reward and recognitions;

Candidate Specification

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be based in our Dublin or Cork Offices and shall be responsible for management and development of the water sector business in Ireland. In addition, the role also includes contributing to the development of our business globally through collaboration with our water sector network across the Group. The ideal candidate will match the following experience and skillsets;
  • Chartered Engineer with minimum 15 years’ relevant experience;
  • Recognised leader within the Water Sector in Ireland;
  • Existing working relationship with key decision makers in client organisations
  • Proven track record in the delivery of consulting engineering services for multi-disciplinary projects from concept to commissioning – particularly in the water and wastewater sector;
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work collaboratively with broader water group in the Ireland and internationally;
  • Working knowledge of business management and reporting systems
  • Experience in the financial management of a portfolio of projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Driven client-facing delivery style, focused on achieving outstanding outcomes for clients, with effective communication skills and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Clean driving licence
