The advisory and programme delivery division delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity from £million’s to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of programme management, project management, project controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, infrastructure finance, management consulting, digital consulting, education and healthcare management.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage and report on the financial position
  • Develop and manage an overall performance structure including efficiency and totex commercial targets
  • Manage the Supply Chain Management Team
  • Undertake cost assurance across the business
  • Manage the Asset Data Management Team
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the overall commercial position. This will include project and programme level reporting including the management of expenditure, payments and cash to alliance partners.
  • Develop and manage an overall performance structure, ensuring project and process performance is visible and is used to drive team, individual and supplier performance.
  • Accountable for undertaking cost assurance and within partner organisations and the overall framework of cost assurance agreed.
  • Manage the Asset Data Management Team
  • Manage the AMP6 delivery plan, ensuring commercial initiative progress is maintained and efficiencies secured.
  • Undertake Programme Management duties including:
  • Strategic delivery including resource and workload levelling
  • Programme visibility
  • Programme strategies
  • Resource Management
  • Programme and project controls
  • Report on the programme pool position monthly.

Candidate Specification

  • Communicate with clarity. Use communication to provide and maintain a sense of purpose. Provide context and explain the end game when delivering key messages and information
  • Apply a mature understanding of processes – keep things clear and simple. Ensure processes enable people to deliver and do not hinder.
  • Set clear direction and goals. Provide space and latitude for teams to achieve their objectives; guide, challenge and coach. Be willing and able to tackle poor performance issues.
