Our Thermal Generation business is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to join one of our UK offices. Our work is varied in its nature and will primarily include:
· Technical advisory and due diligence for developers and investors;
· Contracts review (Power Purchase Agreement, O&M Agreement, Fuel Supply Agreement, Long Term Services Agreement, EPC Contract);
· Feasibility studies and Owner's engineering (specs, design review, construction supervision).
In this role, the successful candidate will be working as an integral part of a large multidisciplinary, multi-skilled team of consultants working across a range of technologies – including gas, biomass, energy from waste, and more. They will be given hands-on and project management responsibilities for delivering world class power generation projects. International travel will be a part of the role, including site visits and client meetings. There will be opportunities for short-term and long-term assignments.
We’re looking for a flexible and motivated person with a genuine passion for power generation and with the following attributes:
MSc Mechanical Engineering;
Experience of working with a technical consultancy;
Thorough understanding of technical advisory work for power generation projects;
Demonstrable basic engineering skills and commercial focus;
Rigorous analytical skills;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail;
Project management qualification would be desirable;
Language skills would be desirable (French or Spanish).
